North Sydney Community Centre

About the North Sydney Community Centre

As an independent, not for profit community organisation we aim to enhance the quality of life for those living, working or studying in our area and wider community.

At our recent AGM Deputy Mayor Cr Stephen Barbour referred to NSCC as “the heart of the North Sydney Community”. We continue to strive to live up to his compliment through our wide range of community programs and events.

Each term we offer Adult Classes and Workshops in the Creative, Food & Wine, Music and Dance, Health and Wellbeing and Languages and Travel, catering to varying tastes and levels of ability.

Our Explorer’s Playgroup sees our centre a hive of activity for children aged 0-5 across Monday to Thursday mornings and Music & Movement classes for under 5’s on Friday mornings. Each afternoon school aged children make the most of the Centre’s facilities through our comprehensive After School Care program.

From Changeable Art Exhibitions to Film Nights and Community Forums, there’s always a host of FREE Community Events on at the Centre. To help fund our wide range of programs and events we run the popular Miller Street Market on the 2nd Saturday of each month except January and the wonderfully vibrant Northside Produce Market on the 3rd Saturday of each month.

Through our Venue Hire service we warmly invite our community to share the wonderful facilities offered by the Centre for meetings, private functions and children’s birthday parties.

We are continually appreciative of the support offered to the Centre by North Sydney Council and the community.
