An Introduction to Print Media

A mixed-media print making course that will take you through 4 print processes. The course will cover the traditional processes of Lino Printing and Screen Printing with the more contemporary methods of collagraph relief printing with found objects and expressive dye transfer printing. You will explore these methods on paper and material surfaces whilst working toward a multi layered personal project that incorporates two or more of the learned methods.

Although NSCC with provide some basic equipment for this course, from time to time you will be encouraged to bring some additional items to class. If you are doing additional work to the activities allocated you will need to bring you own art materials. We will discuss this as a group.
