Hatha yoga asanas in a Vinyasa Flow style.
Hatha yoga combines postures, breath work and meditation to restore energy levels, increase oxygenated blood flow to the brain, revitalise and calm the nervous system and assist motivation and focus.
All levels welcome.
**This class will be delivered online in Term 2, using the Zoom video platform. To take part, you will need to download and install Zoom from the internet, and set up a free ‘basic’ account. NSCC uses platforms that we trust, but we encourage you to be aware of computer safety and protect your personal information when using the internet.
- A mat or towel is recommended for this class.
- 1 or 2 Yoga blocks are also useful, but not essential.
- A warm blanket is recommended.
Vivienne started as a young ballet dancer and moved into teaching fitness classes for many years. She then added Pilates, both mat and reformer to her repertoire whilst practising Bikram Yoga for over 12years. She then decided to learn and teach Vinyasa Flow and Yin Yoga. Vivienne loves the idea of moving the body in a flow of asanas (poses) sequencing them in a way to keep the participant in tune with their body and their breath as they move.
