Staying Young & Active : Low Impact Monday

Please only book into one of the classes (no repeats)! The facebook group with Marion’s 9 videos will be made available to all SYAA enrolments for you to do an extra class at home!

This class is suited for the over 50’s and all fitness levels are welcome.

A low impact aerobic exercise class. Students enrolling must be able to get down and up from the floor with ease. 

This class also contains a strength training component.

*During COVID: Students studying on-site at NSCC will be expected to assist their tutor in a post-course clean down of the room & anything used during this time. Please understand we are putting in strict protocols across the board to ensure the safety of our entire community.

Materials List

Please bring your own yoga/floor mat, towel, and a full water bottle. Shared equipment is not currently available at NSCC due to COVID-19.

Tutor: Marion Claridge

Marion has been teaching a variety of Group Fitness Classes at the NSCC for 13+ years. Whether your been a student for X number of years, or you’re a relatively new student, you will always find Marion’s classes inviting, encouraging, and with a whole lot of laughter along the way. Marion believes fitness is for everybody and everyBODY!  Marion started her teaching  journey years ago, after attending an awesome ‘ free style ‘ aerobic class at a gym. It got her hooked on not only attending this particular class regularly, but also lit her passion to qualify as a ‘free style ‘ teacher herself. (Teaching ‘free style ‘ gives Marion more freedom over her choreography and music choice, instead of a more structured teaching program). Her leg warmers and leotard may be at the back of the closet now, but grapevines and easy walks are still front and centre in most of her classes, and if not, still expect a playlist from the Bee Gees to Justin Bieber and everything in between.
