Body Strength

Use your own body weight plus light dumbbells to strengthen your body from the inside out. 

This class combines Pilates core exercises, also with occasional hints of Barre and Yoga, with light dumbbell workout, to strengthen all muscles, stabilise joints and help your body heal from conditions such as tennis and golfers elbow, rotator cuff injuries and back pain. 

A safe and effective class for all ages and conditions.

Materials List

Please bring a full water bottle, a yoga mat, and towel. Shared equipment and kitchen facilities are not currently available at NSCC, due to COVID-19. If additional equipment is required, you will be notified before the classes commence.

Tutor: Vivienne Duvall

Vivienne started as a young ballet dancer and moved into teaching fitness classes for many years. She then added Pilates, both mat and reformer to her repertoire whilst practising Bikram Yoga for over 12years. She then decided to learn and teach Vinyasa Flow and Yin Yoga. Vivienne loves the idea of moving the body in a flow of asanas (poses) sequencing them in a way to keep the participant in tune with their body and their breath as they move.
