Men’s Lunchtime Yoga

Class capacity 6-10 students

Yoga was made by men for men… it was also used to train the military.

HATHA YOGA - this really is the mother of all yoga. Hatha forms the all-encompassing practice of yoga, featuring slow and gradual exercises to work your body though a full range of motion, without being physically or mentally torturous. Here, you’ll cover the basic moves and principle of yoga - pranayama (breathing), dhyana (meditation) and asanas (postures) to encourage a gentle challenge.

Beginner Yoga teaches the fundamentals of alignment of the yoga poses, breath awareness and each class ends with deep relaxation.

Benefits of Yoga are numerous such as: stronger muscles and flexibility, helps breaking through personal limits, faster recovery from illness or injury and improved circulation and loads more.

This is a beginners to intermediate level class.

Tutor: Vivienne Duvall

Vivienne started as a young ballet dancer and moved into teaching fitness classes for many years. She then added Pilates, both mat and reformer to her repertoire whilst practising Bikram Yoga for over 12years. She then decided to learn and teach Vinyasa Flow and Yin Yoga. Vivienne loves the idea of moving the body in a flow of asanas (poses) sequencing them in a way to keep the participant in tune with their body and their breath as they move.
