If you are on the waiting list you will get priority warning about the In Conversation: Creative Women talk in March 2017.

How often have you stopped to think how many wonderful, creative, funny, clever women you know? We have. Many times. Mad, irreverent, intelligent, hilarious, fun, energetic… we love them all. And are inspired by them.

We’re often caught out by how many admirable women cross our paths here at the Centre. Which got us thinking. How about creating a day for and about all these wonderful women we know. Shine a light on their talents and, while we’ve got them, ask the big questions. Hang it on the back of International Women’s Day. Keep it loose. We’re not scared to talk politics, money, religion or equal rights and equal pay but, in truth, we want answers to the niggly questions closer to home. How do you mange friendships? How do you go about feeling fulfilled? How do you carve out a career niche for yourself? How do you put perfection in its rightful place? What do you do when you wake at 3am gripped with fear? What happens when a business partnership breaks up, or a friendship? How do you juggle kids with the demands of the boardroom?

We want a day of girl talk, which will be filled with such joyfulness and hilarity that the blokes will want in on the action too.

ON SATURDAY MARCH 5, North Sydney Community Centre will host a program of talks with six of the country’s most creative thinkers, designers, artists, makers and creators.

We’ll set out on an odyssey with our guests leading the way. Along the path, we’ll examine artistry, creative confidence, resilience, collaboration, generational change, connections, and the social media and digital landscape.
