Thank you everybody for celebrating 20 years of Northside Produce Market on September 21st. We lavished our stallholders afterwards with a feast of market produce in appreciation for their hard work and dedication to Northside.
We cannot thank Tawnya Bahr (who hosts our ‘Behind the Scenes’ market tours) enough and volunteers, who created an amazing banquet with some of NSW’s finest produce. It was a wonderful gathering of stallholders enjoying themselves and being rewarded for their passion and commitment to producing great quality fresh and crafted food.
Anna Con’s love-affair with good food stemmed from her Greek heritage encouraging her love of eating and making Spanakopita - the light, flaky, crispy layers of fillo pastry, the gentle tang of fresh, chopped dill and the creamy, salty feta teamed with fresh baby spinach. While the traditional recipe is her leading product, the vegan version comes at a close second. Anna has managed to mimic the salty, creamy texture with her very own cashew nut base. Visit the 3 Green Peas stall to discover Spanakopita heaven – eat in and / or take home frozen and Anna’s Goat-milk and Wattle seed ice cream – mmmm!
It’s a long weekend market, perfect timing for supplying entertaining needs like prawns, snags and veg for the barby, cheese and fruit for a platter or the freshest and best pastries for those breakies in bed!
Spring cleaning? Then drop by Lomarra’s stall to get Vanessa Armstrong’s handcrafted multi - purpose cleaning sprays, sustainably harvested and made from Australian native plants using essential oils as the base.
It’s holiday time for the kids. Treasure Hunt was so enjoyed by all who participated in it at our 20th birthday market, we’ve brought it back this Saturday. In seeking the treasure, start at our Info stall located under the red gazebo on the pathway that goes through the top of Civic Park. Make sure to get there before 11.30 am.

Our very first market calendar is out and selling now. We are thrilled and thank stallholders for the tips and recipes. This 2020 calendar has bonus months for the rest of this year, so is ready to be hung now. Buy from our Info stall, at our Community Centre or order online.
