The layers of hibernation are peeling off! It’s time to open up your home to this new season, entertain in the natural warmth and let us cater. Fresh cheeses flavoured by springtime milk; seafood, meat and vegies to toss on the barbie to refreshing mocktails with a native twist.
The Cheese Puff Company has your canapes covered with their moreish little bites of hand- made crispy light pastry wrapped around 3 different cheese fillings. It all started with Lucy Allen’s Mum serving up her Classic Three Cheese Puffs at every social occasion. Her top secret recipe was passed onto Lucy and, after constant requests, this has now become her business with husband Paul. Try their additional flavours Manchego & Jalapeno and Mozarella & Sundried Tomato.
Spring clean your palette to truly enjoy and appreciate ALDT Spirits. In local Naremburn, Tim Triggs distills his alcohol-free range of spirits in traditional copper alembic stills using Australian native botanicals. With ingredients such as Strawberry Gum, Desert Lime, Riberry and Cinnamon Myrtle, ‘The Silver Princess’ has berry, spice and lime characteristics. Tim will also be serving up his cicada named Green Grocer and Golden Emperor with native bush tonics for you on Saturday morning. Very refreshing.
If your bags and baskets runneth over, stop by Oollooll Australia’s stall and pick up their hand crocheted baskets. Each one takes at least a day to hand crochet which are then gently dipped in a waterproof liquid to set the shape and create a washable surface. In days gone by, crochet work was temporarily stiffened by placing items in a concentrated sugar solution and left to dry.
