I am so, so, so happy to be letting you know that Northside Produce Market will be reopening on the 1st Saturday in June - on June 6th from 8am till midday.
Thank you for the support and understanding given during our closure and for the changes we will be implementing to ensure a safe as possible market environment to shop.
I ask that you spread the good news to everyone and everywhere to help this wonderful Community asset back up on its feet. There is no better way to shop for your food than directly from the growers and makers in the great outdoors.
With the easing of the Government restrictions, our North Sydney Community Centre Committee and North Sydney Council have confirmed the re-opening of the market. The Australian Government has already deemed Farmers markets as an essential food supply and service.
The market management, staff and stallholders will be actively following the advice of the Federal Government and NSW Health with respect to public gatherings and the Covid -19 restrictions in place. We ask that all of our customers practise safe hygiene and abide by the restrictions in place as outlined by the Government.
The market perimeter will be fenced, with 3 public access points to the market to ensure we maintain safe numbers. We will have staff stationed at these access points to count the number of market patrons as they enter and leave the market and to provide hand sanitiser which all customers will be required to use upon entry.
I so appreciate the measures our Centre’s Committee and management, Council, market team and all of our stallholders are going to, to ensure everyone’s safety.
The following guidelines will be in place at the market for everybody in attendance:
The stallholders, staff and especially me are sooooo excited and can’t wait to see you on June 6th and then again on the third Saturday of the month on June 20th. We hope to be back to our regular first and third Saturday of the month markets from June all going well.
