With the colder weather arriving, how deliciously warming to have Princess Pantry from the Liverpool Plains, serving up their Crumbles created from locally grown ingredients. Cathy sells the Crumble Topping in packets as well as Unbleached & Wholegrain Organic flour, stone ground at the Wholegrain Milling Co in nearby Gunnedah.
Crumpets By Merna has been a treat for millions of QANTAS passengers and she remains grounded this Saturday to serve up her freshly made crumpets with Pepe Saya butter at the market. What a treat for us!
Speaking of Pepe, did you know that he now sells Maple Butter? Beautiful butter is rolled in vanilla bean then sunk in 100% pure, organic Canadian maple syrup. Why not try his Chantilly Mascarpone - fresh farm cream is heated and coagulated into Mascarpone, then the vanilla sugar is folded through.
It is a great season for fresh produce. Who says it’s not easy being green? Fresh Greens are starring this Winter so come get your Broccoli, Silverbeet, Swiss chard, Brussel sprouts, Peas and Broad beans. Competition is on to dazzle with red - John Zavaglia's Raspberries may steal the show!
