Owl Farm’s pumpkin season will be a short one this year due to the recent, unprecedented deluge David and Sarah received in Braidwood. So while the sun shines, make soup from the Rouge Vif d’Etampes (Cinderella pumpkin), roast the Jarrahdale Grey or the Italian Tondo Padana, an heirloom variety from Venice that’s also great for gnocchi.
Nougat Royale is back. We’ve missed this delicious, gluten free handcrafted, hand cut and hand wrapped nougat. Chef Ben Lockett’s surprise of using fine couverture chocolate won us over immediately and we’re excited by his upcoming collaboration with stallholder Chunky Dave’s Peanut Butter.
