Wield your Sovereign Seniority in this North Sydney Community Centre incursion. 

Connect, learn, make and get moving! This Seniors Festival, we’re hosting a range of events and classes: 

Events are free for seniors, but bookings are essential due to COVID and limited places in some, so please book in via the links below! 

On 17 April: Our ‘In Conversation’ speakers will be talking community action and activism, and how you can get involved in ‘Grass Roots Innovation and Sustainability’ (free for seniors). Click here to book!

On 23 April,  9am - 4pm, exclusively for the over 60s, sign up for one of our free, short & sweet adult sample classes, including a drop in/drop out pottery class, a craft junkie’s social circle, beginners’ ukulele, an intro to Spanish language, Tai Chi & Qi Gong to calm your mind, Gyrokinesis® (it’s a body stretch, strength & movement class - come along to find out more), and a special dance fitness workshop with our dancing Queen, Marion Claridge.

11:30-12:30pm, join tutors, students staff and friends of the NSCC community for a free morning tea and meet and greet. And catch a performance by our Ukulele tutor, Lindy! (If you’re shy - yes it’s totally ok to just come for the food and the music, but bookings are essential)!

9am-10am: Tai Chi & Qi Gong with Angela Zhu

10am-12pm: Make a ‘Sky’ themed pottery tile with Pim Hodge (drop in/drop out class, so you could do half an hour here and then go to another class)

10:30am-11:30am: Seniors Move & Groove (a music and dance-based fitness class) with Marion Claridge

10:30am-12:30pm: April Craft Circle with Bronnie Zervos (bring your own project for a social crafting circle)

11:30am-12:30pm: Morning tea, Ukulele performance by Lindy Sardelic, & meet the NSCC community

12:30pm-1:30pm: Introduction to Ukulele with Lindy Sardelic

1pm - 3pm: Introduction to Spanish Language with Mariló Corral

1:30pm-2:30pm: Free Talk: Digital Life & the Estate Plan with James Kelly from Owen Hodge Lawyers

3pm - 4pm: Introduction to Gyrokinesis (a fitness class using body weight and stretches for building strength and mobility) with Maurizio Chisari
