Marketing Coordinator

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for promoting and building audiences and enrolments for the classes, programs and services of the Community Centre, and to market the Centre and activities through print and online media, with an increasing focus on social media. If you love a busy, creative and community environment - then we would like to talk to you!

North Sydney Community Centre is a vibrant hub of activity. Each term the Centre offers a diverse range of community programs including over 100 adult classes and workshops, community events, the twice-monthly Northside Produce Market, After School Care, Explorers Playgroup and Venue Hire.

The role is responsible for, but definitely not limited to:

  • Manage and update all digital applications (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Soundcloud, etc)
  • Manage online event listings and advertising
  • Manage the Centre website, produce weekly e-newsletter and daily social media. Develop systems to support effective marketing and promotion
  • Work with the Graphic Designer on all marketing collateral
  • Distribute all print collateral, prepare public relations material and seek editorial opportunities
  • Maintain the database, mailing lists and general administration

Ideally you will have some Creative Suite, Mailchimp, Survey Monkey and basic video editing skills. You will need initiative, be collaborative but also able to work autonomously with minimum supervision. You will have excellent time management skills and attention to detail. You will need to be able to take basic content and give it a dose of creativity. You must be proficient in the use of computer hardware and software.

This is a paternity leave, part time position, 3 day per week: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 10.00am-6.00pm. Remuneration is dependent on qualifications and experience and as per SCHCADS Award 2010. March start date to be confirmed.
