School Holiday Children's Flower & Craft (Ages 5+)

Course Overview

School Holiday Children's Flower and Craft Workshop with a delicious morning tea included

This hands-on flower workshop introduces children to a range of flowers and foliage and teaches them how to care for their arrangements.

Each participant will create a fresh flower vase arrangement and enjoy some fun craft activities.

The room will be set up like a professional florist studio and the session will be taught by qualified florists who also work in education.

Please Note
  • These workshops are suitable for children aged 5 and over.
  • This is a drop-off class, kids should be collected at the end of their session.

Suitable for: Ages 5 and over

Attire: Please wear enclosed shoes, as we will be using floristry scissors.

Session Options
  • Monday 5 January - 10am to 11am & 11:30am to 12.30pm
  • Saturday 17 January - 1:30pm to 2:30pm & 3pm to 4pm

About the tutor

Grace Tsai

Grace has come from a corporate banking/insurance background before moving into teaching business management at UNSW from 2011-2020, followed by currently teaching in high school. Her passion for teaching has transitioned into imparting her knowledge and love of floral design to her clients through fun flower workshops and flower parties. 

 

She loves creating stunning designs for special events, such as, weddings, birthdays, christenings and other occasions. She has studied a number of courses in flower design over the years, with Pearsons Flower School and Setsuko Yanagisawa at Yugasetsuko in Glebe. 

 

During the week, you will find her early at the flower markets sourcing the freshest and best quality blooms to showcase in her designs for her clients. She primarily uses local Australian flowers in her creations to showcase Australia’s amazing range of flora and to leave a minimal carbon footprint on the environment.
