Bolga Basket Weaving Workshop

Course Overview

Join experienced weaver Godwin Yidana and learn the traditional art of Bolga basket weaving while creating your own small basket from recycled materials.

Godwin has been weaving since he was 15 and has been teaching workshops in Sydney since 2013, sharing both his craft and the cultural stories of the Grueni people of Northern Ghana.

  • How to transform plastic shopping bags into twine for weaving

  • Techniques to weave a small basket using recycled materials
