Drawing Faces (Workshop)

Course Overview

Capturing the dynamism of the human face can be a challenge for an emerging artist.

This one day workshop takes an intensive look at each component of the face and explains ways to render a realistic result.

Facial proportions, features such as eyes, lips and nose, light and shade are all covered individually to provide the student with the knowledge and skills to draw a convincing face.

No previous experience required – beginners welcome.

Testimonials

"Richard is such a great teacher, we feel like he was sharing such interesting elements of drawing, and of course, it is up to us to start implementing. Also he was so non-judgemental, encourageing (in a sincere way!) and ready to agree if what we were doing could do with some improvement, with good advice we could actually understand, rather than taking our pencil and redrawing the whole exercise. Funny banter always keeping us enteretained, which elevated our 'anxiety'. He understood it wasn't how good we were but about the enjoyment and making the most of the time...certainly pushed us all along. Thank you!"
