Join the New Online Greek for Intermediate Course
Continue your Greek language journey with experienced tutor Roy, now teaching online from Athens!
This 8-week course builds on previous learning and focuses on practical, everyday situations, from shopping at the supermarket to buying clothes and shoes, describing colours and styles and discussing your work and lifestyle. You will expand your vocabulary, strengthen your grammar and gain confidence in holding real-life conversations in Greek.
By the end of the course, you’ll be able to buy groceries, communicate in a clothing store, describe garments, indicate quantities and share details about your daily life and job.
Please Note
- Once you are enrolled and the class is confirmed (usually a week prior to the course start date), we will send you an email with the online link you will need to join and attend the class.
- All materials will be provided by email before and after each class.
Course Breakdown
Week 1: Revision of material covered in previous terms.
Week 2: Going to the supermarket, fruits and vegetables.
Week 3: Nouns in the plural, buying groceries.
Week 4: This and that, how much, quantity adjectives.
Week 5: Going shopping for clothes and shoes.
Week 6: Colours, it fits/suits, adjectives describing clothes.
Week 7: Present tense of the verbs ending in -ομαι.
Week 8: Describing one’s job and lifestyle.
Course outcomes
- Buy groceries.
- Communicate in a clothes/shoes store.
- Indicate what and how much you want of something.
- Describe garments and footwear.
- Talk about how something fits or suits you.
- Sharing information about your job and daily habits.

About the tutor
Roy Gerente
Roy was born and raised in Athens, Greece. She studied Italian language and literature, has a master’s degree in teaching and is a certified Greek language teacher. She channels her love and passion for her country by sharing her knowledge of the language and culture with people. Greece is a state of mind, a collection of sensations, colours, tastes and sounds that bring people together in a very special way. In Roy’s class, students are encouraged to participate in a fun and relaxing environment where mistakes are welcomed as friends.
