Spanish Intermediate Level 1
Course Overview
This course helps you to develop your fluency and conversation skills in a range of contexts and build your vocabulary to levels which will allow you greater experience and appreciation of the culture and its people.
This course assumes previous language study in Spanish (through completing Beginner 2 Level).
In each session there will be great emphasis given to pronunciation (in groups and pairs), which will enhance one’s fluency for communicating in Spanish.
Additional resources may be used (eg. music, videos, etc.) where available and where suitable for the needs of the class.
Course Breakdown
Week 1: Use of the reflexive verbs
Week 2: To have’ in Spanish
Week 3: Family. Possessive adjectives (my, your, etc)
Week 4: Talking about the house. Furniture
Week 5: Indirect object verbs: To Like/Dislike
Week 6: Going out, plans, interests.
Week 7: Health. Parts of the body, medication, etc
Week 8: Review of previous weeks’ material
*Subject to changes depending on number of students and other factors
Term 2 for Spanish Intermediate runs from Friday 17 May to Friday 28 June
Outcomes
Extended grammar knowledge.
Be able to speak more confidently with improved pronunciation and extended vocabulary.
Also, able to have topic-based conversations & discussions.
