Free Teen DLSR Photography Workshop (12-17 Years old)

A beginner-friendly photography workshop designed especially for teens who want to learn how to use a DSLR or mirrorless camera with confidence.

In this hands-on session, students will learn how their camera works, how to move out of auto mode, and how to start capturing creative, well-composed images. With a mix of guided learning and practical shooting time, this workshop is designed to feel supportive, engaging, and easy to follow — no prior experience needed.
By the end of the session, students will feel more confident using their camera and excited to keep exploring their creativity.

What to bring
  • An DSLR camera or any camera with a M/A/S(Tv)/P dial on the top will work
  • Optional accessories (if available):
    – Tripod
    – Spare battery
    – Spare memory card
  • Comfortable shoes
  • Wet weather gear (just in case)
  • Pen and paper for note-taking
What parents have said

My daughter Louisa Wilson and I both attended (me as carer) the workshop with Zahra. We both enjoyed it and learned a lot. Louisa is keen to continue with photography now, which is a great discovery and interest for her, get a dslr camera, and enter some amateur competitions. Zahra had a nice manner. A good vibe, explained things well, engaged and listened well to the kids, and then took us out to put into practice what we had learned, with some well chosen examples. I would (and already have) recommend her class to others.
