Qualifications & experience
  • Child Protection Training, Working With Children Check and current First Aid
  • Diploma/Degree in Education and Training, or currently working towards
Program
  • With the ASC Coordinator, oversee the day-to-day management of the After School Care program with capacity to lead and manage the staff.
  • Actively supervising the children while playing both indoors and outdoors and instruct children in the appropriate use of equipment.
  • Ability to fulfil the obligations of a Nominated Supervisor including ensuring children’s health and hygiene, safety and wellbeing, and risk management.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment before, during and after the completion of the session. Physical lifting of furniture and moving equipment is required.
  • Contribute to the development of the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
Admin
  • Responsibility for the program cycle; ensure it is all-encompassing, such as planning, staff implementation and evaluation (assessment).
  • Ability to manage and monitor enrolments and fees
  • Fulfil duties associated with mandatory reporting guidelines in line with the Child Protection legislation and the service’s policies, and be the Responsible Person at the service.
  • Mentoring and training ASC staff. Work as a member of the team. To be flexible and work in a cooperative manner to ensure efficient operation of the service and maintain a high level of morale.
