Make your own silver ring!
Perfect as a gift or a treat for yourself, this class will guide you through the essential techniques of silversmithing, including annealing, forging, soldering and filing.
What You’ll Learn:
- Basic silversmithing techniques for shaping and finishing your ring
- How to choose the right thickness and style for your design
- Tips for creating a polished, professional-looking finish
What You’ll Take Away:
- Your very own handmade silver ring
- New skills and confidence in basic silversmithing
Materials:
All materials are included in the class fee, includinga 3mm wide silver bar for your ring. Prefer a thicker band? You can upgrade on the day: 5mm for an additional $20 or 7mm for $40.
What to Bring:
- Images of any ideas you might like to draw inspiration from
- Enclosed shoes
- No loose clothing (as they may get caught in equipment)
- Hair tied back
