Online English Beginners

Course Overview

This 10-week online English for Beginners course is designed for adults who want to improve their everyday English in a supportive, practical and engaging virtual environment.

Each session runs for three hours and is held live via Zoom, giving students plenty of time to practise and build confidence using English in real-life situations from the comfort of their own home.

The course is suitable for learners from mixed cultural and language backgrounds who have little or no previous English experience. Lessons focus on communication and understanding through conversation, listening, reading and writing tasks.

Our online classes are friendly and interactive, with small group discussions and activities that help you connect with others, learn through participation, and grow from mistakes in a safe space that celebrates diversity.

About the tutor

Nathalia Acosta

I'm Nathalia Acosta, originally from Colombia, and I'm a TESOL-certified ESL teacher with over a decade of experience.

I've had the privilege of teaching a wide range of students, from young learners in primary and high school to adults at various levels of general English, in both public and private schools. Currently, I focus on upper-intermediate classes, provide private lessons, and help students prepare for the PTE test.

My journey with English began at age five, thanks to my parents' encouragement.

I truly believe that teaching is my purpose; it allows me to be a part of my students' journeys and make a real difference in their lives.

My teaching philosophy centers on creating a safe and fun environment where making mistakes is embraced as a natural part of learning.

I emphasise learning through genuine connection, meaningful interactions, and applying language to real-world situations. I encourage my students to explore, express themselves, and build a supportive community in the classroom.

My message to all my students is to believe in themselves and enjoy the exciting process of learning a new language.
