Zonta Club of Northern Sydney Birthing Kit Assembly
Join us for afternoon tea and a strong dose of community spirit as we celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Birthing Kit Foundation Australia.
We are calling on volunteers to help us assemble 600 plus clean birthing kits for women in developing countries.
Every day, thousands of mothers give birth without access to basic supplies needed for a hygienic environment. These simple kits contain essential materials that help reduce infection and lower the risk of infant and maternal mortality.
Zonta Club of Northern Sydney have been fundraising throughout the year to help purchase supplies for these kits and we are proud to support this important work.
Donations are welcome. Each birthing kit costs $5.
Registration is required.

Empowering Women Through Service and Advocacy
Zonta Club of Northern Sydney is part of a global network of professionals committed to empowering women and girls through service and advocacy. Zonta envisions a world where women’s rights are recognised as human rights, where every woman can achieve her full potential and where women have access to resources and equal representation in decision making. In this world, no woman lives in fear of violence.
In partnership with North Sydney Community Centre, the Club hosts key community events including the Breast Cushion Working Bee, Sip and Stuff Day, and the Birthing Kit Assembly Day. The Birthing Kit Assembly Day reflects an ongoing commitment to producing these essential, life saving kits.
Supported by the Birthing Kit Foundation Australia, the birthing kits provide women in developing countries with a cleaner and safer delivery environment, helping to reduce the risk of infection and improve outcomes for mothers and babies.
