Italian Beginners Intermediate (B1)
Course Overview
For students who have completed at least 1 year of Italian tuition and can express themselves using present and past tense in everyday situations.
The focus will be on language in everyday situations, useful vocabulary and grammar as well as cultural immersions. The course is enriched with role-plays, audio-visual resources, fun games and activities to consolidate concepts and discover Italian culture. Improve your Italian and learn interesting facts about all aspects of Italian culture in a friendly atmosphere. Student participation and some home revision is required to consolidate what you learn in class.
Course content: Unit 10 La famiglia
Week 1: Revision lesson focused on conversation
Week 2: Vocabulary relating to the family and meaning of family in today’s Italy
Week 3: Talking about our family and presentation of personal anectodes
Week 4: Possessive adjectives and how to read statistics in Italian
Week 5: The past tense of reflexive verbs
Week 6: The superlative
Week 7: Italian gestures and their meaning
Week 8: A fun game to revise the content of the course

Elena was born and bred in Milan, speaks 5 languages fluently and has a Degree in Interpreting and an honours degree in Foreign Languages and Literature from Milan University.
Languages and communication have been her passion from a very young age.
She has been teaching for over 20 years with great passion and is running yearly Tours to Italy to help students of all levels improve their Italian and discover Italian culture and lifestyle.
