Italian Intermediate Next Step (A2)
Course Overview
Deepen your Italian language expertise and refine your conversational skills!
A course for those who have competed at least 11-12 terms (176-192 hours) of Italian.
Achieve sufficient linguistic competence to understand and respond appropriately to everyday situations. Further grammatical concepts and vocabulary will be presented and practiced. The audio-visual resources tailored to the needs of the class, will bring you closer to Italy and its culture and give you the opportunity to tune your ears to the beautiful sound of this language. Participating in small conversations is highly encouraged in a fun and relaxing environment.
Course breakdown
Week 1: revision of the material previously covered.
Week 2: body parts, health issues and specialists.
Week 3: formal imperative (Lei), position of the pronouns.
Week 4: describing one’s relationship with sport.
Week 5: the plural imperative (voi), soccer in Italy.
Week 6: simple future tense: form and use.
Week 7: applying for a job, hypothetical statements.
Week 8: work and working conditions in Italy.
This outline provides an overview of what may be covered during the course; however, changes may occur based on various factors and the needs of the class.
Term Dates
Term 1 runs on Monday 3 February to Monday 24 March
Term 2 runs on Monday 28 April to Monday 23 June
Term 3 runs on Monday 28 July to Monday 15 September
Term 4 runs on Monday 13 October to Monday 1 December
