Italian Beginners Next Step (A2)

Course Overview

Build on your Italian language skills and elevate your proficiency!

For students who have completed at least 1 year of Italian tuition and can express themselves using present and past tense in everyday situations.

The focus will be on language in everyday situations, useful vocabulary and grammar as well as cultural immersions.

The course is enriched with role-plays, audio-visual resources, fun games and activities to consolidate concepts and discover Italian culture.

Improve your Italian and learn interesting facts about all aspects of Italian culture in a friendly atmosphere.

Student participation and some home revision is required to consolidate what you learn in class.

Course Breakdown

Week 1: Revision lesson focused on conversation

Week 2: Talking about our daily activities

Week 3: Reflexive verbs  

Week 4: Writing messages in Italian

Week 5: The impersonal form with reflexive verbs

Week 6: Adverbs of time and frequency

Week 7: Italian festivities and idioms

Week 8: common expressions with the verb fare

This outline provides an overview of what may be covered during the course; however, changes may occur based on various factors and the needs of the class.

Term Dates

Term 1 runs from Tuesday 4 February to Wednesday 26 March (depending on the class you attend).

Term 2 runs from Tuesday 29 April to Wednesday 18 June (depending on the class you attend).

Term 3 runs from Wednesday 23 July to Tuesday 10 September (depending on the class you attend).

Term 4 runs from Tuesday 14 October to Wednesday 3 December (depending on the class you attend).

At the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Talk about your daily routine
  • Say how frequently you do things
  • Use common idiomatic expressions
  • Congratulate people
  • Talk about holidays and festivities
  • Write SMS messages in Italian

Parking Discount for Students

 Students who participate in this course will receive a 50% discount at Ridge Street Car Park. Simply speak to our team when you visit the Centre, and we’ll register your plate number in our system (please note you’ll need to register your plate each time you attend the course). This discount applies to courses held at the Centre during office hours (Monday to Friday, 10 am to 5 pm).

Elena De Felice

Elena was born and bred in Milan, speaks 5 languages fluently and has a Degree in Interpreting and an honours degree in Foreign Languages and Literature from Milan University.

Languages and communication have been her passion from a very young age.  

She has been teaching for over 20 years with great passion and is running yearly Tours to Italy to help students of all levels improve their Italian and discover Italian culture and lifestyle.
