Course Overview

Chair Fitness Strength is a totally seated muscle strength, and joint mobility workout. 

Hand weights, resistance bands, a Child's play ball and your own body strength, are all used for this course to focus on bone health, and functional fitness.

Chair Fitness Strength is perfect for anyone who wants to take “standing “ stress off their joints, those with balance issues, or any newbie to strength training. This class has 3 main components. 15 mins strength workout with hand weights. 15 minutes of strength and mobility exercises with a resistance band. 15 minutes core with Childs play ball. 

Course Breakdown

Week 1: A selection of compound strength moves using hand weights. A selection of Resistant band exercises for either upper body, lower body or a combination of. Core and mobility exercises with Childs play ball. 

Week 2: Same as week 1 

Week 3: Same as week 2 

Week 4: DIFFERENT selection of compound strength moves. Different resistance band and core exercises 

Week 5: Same as week 4 

Week 6: Same as week 5 

Week 7: DIFFERENT selection of compound strength moves. Different resistance band and core exercises 

Week 8: Same as week 7 

Week 9: Same as week 8 

This outline provides an overview of what may be covered during the course; however, changes may occur based on various factors and the needs of the class.

Term Dates

Term 1 runs from Wednesday 5 February to Wednesday 2 April 

Term 2 runs from Wednesday 30 April to Wednesday 25 June

Term 3 runs from Wednesday 23 July to Wednesday 17 September

Term 4 runs from Wednesday 15 October to Wednesday 10 December

Students who attend a Chair Fitness strength course regularly, can expect:

Nancy Morales

Nancy was born in the beautiful country of Guatemala in Central America, music is an essential part of her culture and she enjoys dancing and teaching with it. Nancy loves to dance salsa, merengue, cumbia, reggaeton, and many more rhythms. She became an instructor not long after her arrival to Australia, this combined with her latin roots and with her beautiful personality makes a perfect match for this class. She loves the impact that her classes have on a person and enjoys seeing her students with smiles on their faces as they dance along and get fit while maintaining an active life.
